Today we launched the Digiphone website , a project which I designed and hand coded in PHP for a client selling cordless phones, headsets etc.
The client approached me earlier this year looking for a site that would be both visually appealing and would perform well in the search engines. Nothing in the development of this site was overlooked from dynamically optimizing alt tags to careful link placement for a better user experience.
The Process:
The brief was to create a aesthetically pleasing design which would not overpower the product themselves. On the homepage there is a special offer banner which is updateable by the client in the content management system.
There is no part of the site which the client can’t easily manage in the CMS. This means that the site will be regularly updated, keeping repeat customers.
The AJAX rating facility which is in the product detail pages enables visitors to contribute a score and also write a review that other people can see. Again this is all managed through the CMS so that the administrator can see the activity on the site.
This is the best ecommerce so far and one that I am proud of having designed and built.
